"Education has always been at the core of DAR. The promotion of education is one of the three founding objectives of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution."
  • DAR Schools
    • Kate Duncan Smith (KDS) DAR School
    • Tamassee DAR School, Inc.
  • DAR Approved Schools
    • Berry College, Inc.
    • The Crossnore School and Children's Home
    • Hillside School, Inc.
    • Hindman Settlement School, Inc.

Each of these schools has a unique focus and specific needs. You can learn about them by watching videos on the national committee site and by visiting their school websites. Here are some ways your chapter can help the NSDAR mission of education:
    1. Purchase a DAR Schools pin for $25.
    2. Contribute $200 to the Friends of the DAR Schools Fund and proudly wear your donor pin.
    3. Collect box tops and send them to the school of your choice.
    4. Collect ink cartridges and ship them to the participating recycling company who will then credit the school.
    5. Learn about the schools at a chapter meeting.

This is important to note: Do not bring your box tops or ink cartridges to state meetings. Each chapter is responsible for sending these directly on to the school or recycling program of your choice. The directions and mailing addresses are on the DAR School Committee website.
