In the run-up to the 250th anniversary of the birth of our nation, DAR wants to raise the visibility of our Patriots. The DAR seeks to create interest in who they were and enthusiasm for what they accomplished. This ISDAR public website is the repository for Patriot Stories. It is designed to share the experiences of our forebears, Patriots who acted to create and found our country. These Patriot Stories seek to remember and honor the Patriots' contributions(military, civil or public).

The Iowa America 250! Committee encourages Iowa Daughters to share the efforts of their Patriots in the American Revolution, April 19, 1775 - November 26, 1783. In this manner we can then let others know what it took to affect the Revolution and start a new country.

This web page is searchable by Patriot’s last name, State of Service, and his/her Ancestor number.
