Community Service Awards
Committee
Emilie R. Freiberg, Chairman
All of us know someone in our communities
who has done noteworthy volunteer service for
the good of all. Chapter members, please get
together and find that someone your chapter
would like to recognize.
From the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical
State Fair “our state fair is a great
state fair. . . it’s the best state fair in
our state.” Can ISDAR Chapters proudly say,
“our Chapter’s civic someone is the best civic
someone in our state?”
Community Service Award instructions and
Form CSA-1000 are available on the NSDAR
website. Please login to the NSDAR Members'
website, click on Committees, and then the
Community Service Award. This site will give
an overview of the award. After the first 3
paragraphs of the Overview, there is a
highlighted line for access to the CSA-1000
recommendation form. Click on that line and
you will get all the information you need.
Every Chapter is allowed to recommend two
awards per calendar year (January 1 – December
31). After receiving the Chapter’s completed
CSA-1000, I will review and process the
recommendation in a timely manner. Chapters
will need to allow 6-8 weeks between
submission of a recommendation and the receipt
of award documentation from the DAR Store
before presenting the award. PLEASE NOTE:
CHAPTER AWARD PURCHASES ARE MADE ONLINE
DIRECTLY TO THE DAR STORE
Please return all recommendations for the
Community Service Award to:
