Who is a Junior? A Junior is a DAR member age 18 through 35 years of age. She holds full DAR membership, and when qualified, may serve as an officer or committee chair at the chapter, state, and national levels.

Helen Pouch Memorial Fund – named for the first National Junior Membership Chair. This fund provides financial support for a variety of organizations.

Classroom Grant Awards
Applicants must be a classroom teachers for grades kindergarten through 12th grade, must be endorsed by a local DAR chapter, and complete the grant award application.

Outstanding Junior Contest

Honoring young women who have truly promoted the aims and purposes of the National Society, as well as participated in community activities, the contest encourages all Junior members to be vitally interested and involved in DAR programs and projects.

ALL CHAPTERS ARE CHALLENGED TO HONOR A CHAPTER OUTSTANDING JUNIOR!
Chapter Candidate Application: October 31. (Cannot be 36 years of age on this date.)
