We encourage anyone interested in joining
DAR to attend one of our meetings to better
understand the DAR organization and especially
the Elizabeth Ross Chapter.
Meetings
are in-person and virtually.
The Elizabeth Ross Chapter meets monthly.
Meetings are held February, March, April, May,
June, August, September, October, November.
Meetings include social time and business
issues. Guest speakers, as well as members,
provide interesting programs relating to a
wide variety of subjects, i.e. community
projects, lineage and genealogical research,
history, and current issues of concern.
The meeting is followed by refreshments and
fellowship.
The Elizabeth Ross Chapter is an active
chapter. The chapter promotes historic
preservation, education and patriotism. Awards
are given throughout the year for winners of
the DAR Good Citizens contest, American
History Essays, ROTC, Conservation and
Community Service.
The Chapter's anniversary is celebrated every
November at an annual luncheon.
Prospective members are welcome and assistance
is available in filling out DAR application
papers. We are here to help. For further
information, please contact the chapter. |
