Chapter meetings are held the third Saturday
of the month, except for January, April, and
July.
Meetings include: the ritualistic openings,
devotions, patriotic recitations, as well as
the reading of the President General’s Message
and a report from the National Defense
Committee. Reports are presented by the
chapter chairmen of the committees. Guest
speakers, as well as members, provide
interesting programs relating to a wide
variety of subjects.
The Martha Washington Chapter, NSDAR, is a
very active chapter. We award an annual ROTC
Medal, participate in Stand Down, a U.S.
Department of Veterans Affairs program for
homeless veterans, participate in quarterly
naturalization ceremonies at the Federal Court
House in Sioux City, among other things. The
chapter also supports historic preservation,
promotes education, and fosters patriotism.
If you are interested in attending a meeting,
please contact the chapter regent. |
