Each course has some specific instructions.
Before attempting to start any course, contact
the State Coordinator.
A brief description of the courses may be
viewed on the Iowa Society Members’ Website,
select ISDAR Committees, and scroll to DAR
Leadership Committee. All courses are easy to
use, and additional resource information is
provided on screen. Each course includes
online modules (most with videos), activities,
and a project. The Members Course explores the
many aspects of DAR. The Committee Leaders
Course helps members become comfortable in
committee work. The New Horizons Course was
updated in 2024 and enhances leadership
skills. To enroll and receive necessary
additional instructions from the State
