Patriotism can be shown in so many ways, and the DAR supports a variety of efforts, including:
Support for veterans - Our chapter does annual donation drives for the local veterans hospital every Christmas.
Support for active-duty military - From letter writing to donation boxes, from local parades to service projects, we honor our military men and women.
Patriotic Awards - The DAR grants medals to distinguished citizens who have made a significant contribution to the defense and security of our nation, state, or local community. The photo to the right shows a 2016 ceremony honoring the Henry County Honor Guard.
