A new DAR chapter was organized in 2023 with fifteen organizing members. The Camp Dodge Chapter members are eager and ready to promote American History, Patriotism and Education and participate in events to show our love of God, Home and Country.

We are super proud of our name – Camp Dodge Chapter! We are named after Camp Dodge -- a major military installation located in Johnston, Iowa. Thousands of national guard and law enforcement men and women train at Camp Dodge and have been deployed to serve our country during war and peace for over 100 years. Camp Dodge is named after General Grenville M. Dodge. General Dodge was a remarkable American hero. He served Iowa and our country during the Civil War and was an important contributor to the Union success. He is responsible for the building of the Transcontinental Railroad westward. We respect and value the “Dodge” name and are determined to live up to the high standard it requires.
