The Camp Dodge Chapter, NSDAR, will hold
meetings and activities at various times and
places. Meetings will be held in Ankeny and
the Des Moines area. Although our meetings
will be held in Ankeny and Johnston, you do
not have to live in those cities to be a
member of the Camp Dodge Chapter, NSDAR.
Our purpose for offering various dates and
meeting places is to allow members to enjoy
meetings, programs, activities, and service
projects to the fullest extent possible
while juggling family, children, work, and
other obligations. Please contact our chapter
regent for more information or to join
us at an upcoming meeting.
Some of our anticipated future
activities are:
- Participating in parades (Independence
Day, State Fair, and more)
- Conducting local cemetery preservation
and cleanup
- Representing the founding Ankeny
Family at the Fall 2023 Living History
Event
- Partnering with the Gold Star Museum,
Blue Star Mothers, and other
organizations serving active-duty
military personnel on Camp Dodge
- Other activities and projects that
come our way to support the DAR mission
of Historic Preservation, Education, and
Patriotism!
